Flush the world away,
watch it swirl around and around
making the sound mix up
all the voices...
"you are not good enough"
spinning lower and lower,
"lies lies..." you say
and you watch the mesage fade away.

"you don't look good enough"
watching your reflection in the water
as your tear joins the message
lower and lower
you watch it go
as the swirling stops
the flushing calms
you see your own face in the reflection
and smile
it was another lie all the while

watch it all go around and around
making you giddy as a clown
as the words "you are crazy"
go down and down
wondering what is the sound
hearing it for the first time
it is joy
from your own mouth comes laughter!

Spinning, you see the colors
get brighter and brighter
the load you carried gets lighter
as it all flushes away!

You can flush the world away but don't ever flush away hope and love.
