not at all. How do you define 'music'? It's not as easy to define as you might think.

Perhaps you just don't like it. It doesn't fit everyones tastes. I have enjoyed the occational rap, but for the most part I don't identify with the theme.

I suppose I would consider it music. However, what's music to some may not be music to all.

Sure i've met women that wouldn't date me do to the nature of the music i like........

Recently, someone made me a CD with a bunch of rap songs on it. Most I had not heard before. Some were rap/rock crossover type stuff. While I wouldn't say rap is something I'd listen to all the time, I actually liked the CD and have listened to it several times now.

Can't stand it myself, but I wouldn't not date someone because of it.

Of course it's music, as someone else said, it may not be to your taste or something you understand but it's as valid a form of musical expression as anything else. I know I don't always get/like my parents' stuff, they sure as heck didn't get mine and I don't always care for my son's. But that doesn't make it any less valid or relevant.

Personally, I'd far rather listen to rap than opera, now opera's something I just cannot stand and don't even want to understand. But, that's just me

I'm not big into cRap music myself.

me,myself and i listen to ALL types of music. i do not like some of the rap that is out there. but to each their own i guess.
