We had a guest house on our ranch for ranch-hands, etc, and I moved into that house in high school. Obviously, it doesn't count because I didn't pay my fair share of what REAL rent and utilities are but I paid them about 300 a month. I officially moved out at 20 when I finished my AA degree.
Since my Dad was also my employer, paying rent was more of a formality. I suppose they were starting my 'adult' training early.
