For me its someone that is just down to earth and someone that I find attractive.I'm in Vegas so its hard to find down to earth, genuine people here. I don't have a particular body type so long as I feel the woman is attractive and I usually don't look for women more than a couple of years older at the oldest.

I'm searching for someone who is worth spending my time with -- someone smart and creative and non-traditional ("outside the box" is getting to be a bit of a cliche, but I'll use it anyway because it sums it up fairly well), someone to whom I don't have to stop and explain the definition of every other word I use, someone literate and communicative and interesting, someone who has a sense of humor....

The types I tend to notice seem to fall into one of two categories: either tall and thin with long hair, or shorter and curvier with dark hair (usually Italian). It is not often I am particularly attracted to anyone anymore, though.



This is crucial. I am tired of being with airhead fluffballs. I would like to find someone smarter than I am, more creative than I am. This has happened, once. I assume the possibility exists for it to happen again.

I'm not saying she has to have a 160 IQ, although that would be nice. But there are more important things than IQ scores.



Not sure what you mean by that. I don't believe in it, in the religious sense of the term, as I'm an atheist.



I tend to date younger, because I will not date someone who has kids. From a demographic standpoint, the older they are, the likelier thay are to have had kids -- although this is by no means a universal. I dated a woman who was 33 in 2006 -- but to find anyone that age without kids is extremely rare, in my experience.



Communication, in the end.



Not sure what you use as a frame of reference here. "Very comfortable," or is there a scale of 1-10 or what....? I would like to be able to feel secure within the parameters of the relationship, although I don't picture that ever happening in real life.



In an abstract sense, yes. I think about my books, and what they may end up doing, and so on.

In relationship terms, no. I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that I am not going to find anyone suitable. That ship has long since sailed.
