Yeah. Albuquerque as been doing a lot of work the last couple of years because of THEIR tax incentive program (which they'll give up to 40% of tax revenue BACK to production companies who film there). Of course, you HAVE to hire local film people for the majority of the work, as they just can't have people from L.A. step in and do the work, right?


And again... the dolts running the legislature here in Cali are so clueless they couldn't figure out how to fix the problems at hand if they tried to. And they wonder why they keep operating on an ever-growing deficit...

Let's see... I was on the effects crew on "Scary Movie 2" (I did the rigging on the "What Lies Beneath" bathroom set)... I did the opening building explosion on "Formula 51", which is kinda unfortunate because some other effects dude got credit for the movie... and I did some stuff on one of the "Fast and the Furious" movies...

I've been doing more tv than anything lately, though. I WAS on a show called "The Unit" with that dude who does the Allstate Insurance commercials... I also did pyro for "America's Got Talent", specifically the second season, when puppeteer Terry Fator won... I also did a show called "Grease: You're The One That I Want", which was another kind of competition show... I've also done something called "WCG Ultimate Gamer" as well.

Some dolt in the state legislature tried to pass a law that made dark-colored cars illegal, siting some lame-ass hypothesis that darker-colored cars heated up the air around them, which caused less fuel mileage. Of course, this is about as dumb as you can get because the paint color of a car has NO bearing on whether or not it will save on gas or not.

If nothing else, it's just another way for the state to try to scam money out of its' citizens- darker cars are harder to see, which means the cops won't be able to ticket them as much as a result. Brighter colored cars, on the other hand, are REALLY easy to see which means the cops will be doling out more tickets.

Yeah. I even got the whole setup of the building explosion on video tape and everything. It just sucks that some other a-hole got the credit, especially because the a-hole in question isn't even licensed to do pyro work in this country as he's from the UK.

when i saw that 90% of the state budget was tied up in constitutional amdments ,that vured me , you cant do anything when you only have 10% of a budget to work with , Cali is one of the very few states i wont live in , it alabama mississippi and La. its sad too , cause some of cali is very pretty , specially up north where the sane people live ,

Actually, most of the INSANE types live in the northern part of the state- all those former Haight-Ashbury hippies who eventually end up running the state (Harmon, Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstein, et al). And the legislature in San Francisco is the absolute worst since Gavin Newsom (the city's mayor) took control- he royally F'ed that town up but good. In fact, he screwed things up so bad up there that the standard of living there actually went DOWN in the years he's been mayor. And Frisco's one of the most expensive cities in the U.S., too- you can't have a decline in standard of living in a city set up like that.
