Recently my 19 yr old son had his first sexual experience. I have always been very open & honest with him about sex - communication, physical, mental, emotional & respondsible behavior/contraception (my mom never talked to me about it, so i was blind + naive = in the dark about everything). I feel it is a right of passage into "adulthood" that everyone has. I know there are many that would for religious or other reasons preach abstinence (wait til you're married?). I hope i have laid the groundwork in his mind & heart to help make him a good man for some lucky woman

Good sex is one of the great joys of life as a human being. I hope all our kids get to have that wonderful connection with someone that they can give themselves fully to with passion, trust & love in all its forms

daughter is now 18 and has her first LTR
We have talked and talked about this matter. She is a great kid ...and I am so not ready to be a Gramma! Luckily she is also a smart girl and knows she isn't ready for Motherhood. Last week she brought home a robot baby from school she was fine and great at first...I woke up for work at 5AM and heard the wierdest noise...followed the sound and found the hysterical robot baby under a huge pillow in the utility room! I was devastated and couldn't do a thing with it! Had to go to work early so I could get away from the screaming. |

BUT ALWAYS PRACTICE SAFE SEX.............. Two methods are always better than one: Condoms & spermicide! Dont trust & just leave it up to the other person (guy/gal) to take care of being mature & responsible. I also told him he might wanta practice with putting on the condoms |

Ive stressed to him that "parenthood" is a decision that you should make when you feel you & whoever is ready to commit your lives to raising a child. DON'T think that MOM or DAD are gonna care for or clean up your mistakes! You make a decision on a action, you must deal with the consequences it brings + hes seen too many kids he went to high school with screw~up their lives being stupid |
