Could this be a preview of this year?
Could we be looking at a Superbowl caliber team?

"Going out on his own terms". Didn't he do this at least once before?? laugh I love Brett Favre. He played at Sou Miss and I've watched him for many years. But he's a bit like Michael Jordan was about this retirement thing. He needs to make up his mind and stick to it.

I'm a Viking Princess! 33 years and bleeding Purple every second. smitten I would giggle uncontrollably if this happened!

No one can predict how many successful years - if any - he has left but to have him on the Vikings would be epic! What turns me off is his back and forth decisions.

spock He is retired. Is that his final answer?

sorry but Favre is a Has-Been.Favre hasn't done sh1t since he left the Packers for his first retirement.this was what, his 4th retirement?.the ONLY reason his old @$$ came back out is because he's no longer making the news and he figures his face needs to be pasted on every magazine and every sports and news show in America.

he's like T.O,i'm freaking sick of hearing his name!

I would still watch Brett play with one arm and a walker singing Shipoopi and playing for the Silly Nannies.

And Brett won't help the Vikings win a Superbowl. Nobody can.

The deal with favre going to vikings isn't whether or not he can throw the ball, but the pressure he would take of AP. With a respected or feared QB the vikings run game becomes even better because suddenly no one can put 8 or more in the box because favre would make em pay. Say what you will about the drama or how he is washed up or how it would be a traitor move for the vikes to sign him, he brings credibility to the passing game which helps the run game which means a single season rushing record for peterson and super bowl championship #1 for minne

All this drama that he is doing the past couple of off-seasons is ruining his reputation. As far as him going to Minnesota, sure, the Bears, Lions, and Packers secondary would love that. Time to hang them up, Favre.

With the Jets, Favre had to throw 30-40 times a game for them to get the record they had. For the Vikes, all we need him to do is throw 20ish times during the game for them to win. Also our line is superior to the Jets and would give Favre more than enough time to get a good look at who is open, who is not. With no options being open he could dump to AP or to our new draft pick Percy Harvin. While Harvin isnt established and proven....AP is.

Come playoff time....we shall see Monier.

You didn't mention that with those 310 interceptions he has 464 tds, 65,127 yards and a lifetime 85.4 passer rating. Also didn't mention that in a game last year with the jets he threw SIX tds in one game. True, last year with the jets he didnt look great at the end of the season. Playing injured has something to do with that.

I digress, this isnt a article on who is the best quarterback now, Its if Favre and the Vikings have the right chemistry to go all the way. Only time will tell. I for one will be one of those fans who eagerly watches to see the outcome. I'm sure even those people who arent Favre/Viking fans will be watching that outcome as well.

well he has been playing for 20 years his stats will reflect that

G GS Comp Att Pct Yds Avg TD Int Sck SckY Rate Att Yds Avg TD FUM Los

TOTAL 5,720 9,280 61.6 65,127 7.0 464 310 469 3,101 85.4 576 1,829 3.2 14 157 66

joe montana 15 years
