Why cant my heart

It springs up
with joy and hate,
and it make me want to flee.

Flee from you

Flee from the world of hate
But most of all
flee from the love
that always ends in heart ach

For once I want
to find someone
that knows the meaning
of true love.

To hold each other
With grace and care as we
Shout out our unending love.

To be with one
Who understands
How much love I’m willing to give.

To hold on to me
As much as I would them
And know that our love
Would never end.

But no, my heart falls
For those who are selfish
Or want nothing to do with me.
And even though I want it to end
I know that can not be.

For love is apart
of our everyday lives
and without it
I would not be me.
