i would definitely have a relationship with someone outside of my race
but my reactions would depend on how my girlfriend reacted to them. my
tolerance for stupidity isn't as high as it used to be so i don't let as
many things go as i used to but i couldn't see myself letting it go if
it affected the person i was with.

I would be fine in an inter-racial relationship. The color of your skin
does not reflect the quality of your character. I happen to be white and
i am proud. I know plenty of white people who are rude, stupid,
carelesss, lazy and cruel. On the other hand, some of the sweetest girls
I know are black, and philipino (sp). It is a fact that people who are
different races have different personalities, but that is true within a
race as well. Everybody is different, we each have our own style and
ways to deal with stress, or love, or just what we do for fun. If
everybody was the same, it would be a very boring world. I appreciate
the differences I see every day, even if I don't agree with them. As far
as rude comments, people will always look for ways to insult and attack
others, it is unavoidable. Sure it would make me angry, but it doesn't
have to affect how I live. For the most part, I don't care what people
think, i have my own problems and the way I deal, I won't let some
random stranger's opinion of me and my life distract me from what I know
to be important to me. If their life is so stale and stagnant that they
use their time to judge how I live, their opinion is not valuable to me.

This shouldn't make a difference to people. And anyway it should be no
one elses concern other than the two people. I do know some people
would never do that, and they might have there reasons for not dating
outside their race, but I'm not sure I'd want them to share those
reasons.

I have a theory regarding racism that I adapted years ago. It was to
make anyone racist uncomfortable by calling them to task. So if you
tell me an "innocent" racist joke I'm likely to 1. not laugh and 2. ask
you what year you think this is. In this way I hope that someone who is
acting like "oh, it's just a joke" - next time they will consider
whether they should tell the joke at all. If everyone did this, I'd
hope the last racists would quietly disapear - keep it all to
themselves. I guess I have a dream. ;)

I hear rude comment all the time in me work place..
but none of the kind u r talkin' about.

King, I think it has to do with the area you are in sometimes as far as
dealing with reactions from people. Some do know how to deal with some
situations better then others. But what ever happens you should always
do what makes you happy.

I don't think colour is an issue, I would date outside of my race. I
think you would have rude comments from time to time...some people are
just stupid...I think you just have to be the adult and overlook stupid
people!
I have taught my boys that there is no colour when it comes to
people...we are all the same. I have a friend who has a bi-racial
daughter...my boys thought she had a beautiful tan---they asked how to
get her skin tone. So I think if you raise your children to not judge by
race, then the world might be a happier place :)

for some reason....i don't know why....it does'nt bother me to see a
white guy with a black girl, but i don't like seeing black men with
white girls. i love everyone, but this is someting that has plaqued me
in the past.

It wouldn't bother me a bit been in a couple of them myself my
boyfriends didn't seem to have a problem with it so neither did I:)

There is some damn good looking brothers out there!! I get off on the
way some pride themselves on how the dress....lots of class, can put a
white boy to shame!!
