If I look at someone profiles I hope they know about it, the reasons I look at woman are many and my own and if i wanted to be stealth I wouldn't have join this site and would have stayed home alone.

Stealth. All the time. I have several reasons.
First, (for example) a guy (or lady) cannot see if another guy (or lady) has looked at his (or her) profile anyway, so that's a non-issue, but I'm not one of the usual people who sign up here blindly accepting this to be The Dating Store Online, nothing more. I'm here for friends, forums, and food (they promised me there was gonna be food -- where's it at?). Secondly, considering my track record with women, I prefer to observe from afar. Obviously, I still appreciate a beautiful woman, so this lends me the opportunity to check her out using discretion. Nine times out of ten, I'm just gonna keep my mouth shut about it anyway, so they have no fear about that. Thirdly, even if I WAS here to date, please refer to Reason #2. Fourth, there's already a severe over-abundance of women on here who constantly complain about guys perving their profiles, ESPECIALLY "old farts". There is no way to find out the age of a given person, outside of asking them directly, other than looking at their profile. If I'm off stealth mode, and I view somebody who happens to be 20 years old, and they're one of those types who freak out if someone the age of their father views them, the damage is already done, whether by accident or by design. Fifth, nobody can tell if I'm online or not. I call it a matter of self-preservation. Women are always going on and on about "protecting themselves", blah-blah-blah, this is my way of doing the same thing for myself. If they don't know I've looked at their profile, they can't pin a label on me, whether I may deserve it or not. It's like sitting in one spot and discretely looking through binoculars. |

If I'm off stealth mode, and I view somebody who happens to be 20 years old, and they're one of those types who freak out if someone the age of their father views them, the damage is already done, whether by accident or by design. I usually hear complaints about older men actually messaging them, not just looking. Someone who complains about an older man just looking probably isn't worth worrying about in the first place. |
