I never realized that the qualities I look for in the men I date are like those that my daddy possesses - very strong (mentally and physically), christian, humble, hard working, loyal, great work ethic, supportive and quiet. When my daddy says something, you listen, because he usually doesn't speak unless he has something to say, and he doesn't usually say it twice.

One of the biggest pet peeves with my ex is that he talked just to listen to the sound of his own voice. And humility was definitely not his strong suit.

That is where a lot of my ideas come from - wanting a marriage like my parents have, so to speak. They have been married for 45 years now and are still going strong

I have no desires to have the qualities my parents have. Yeah I love them to death and its a great thing they have been together all these years. But I do not agree with them on their viewpoints about things.

I look for the qualities that suits me better. Because I am a different person then my parents. Someone who will let me lick a lolipop all day if I wanted to. know what I mean?

Loyal, trustworthy, strong work ethic with a sense of humour.
