I just spoke with a friend of mine recently, who said they had pulled a bull shark out of the Mississippi River. She lives in Missouri. It's scary - those things apparently can adapt (and have adapted) to fresh water! That really makes me want to go swimming in an inland river! Yikes!

I wouldnt worry bout it , everything in life has its little dangers , you could slip on a bar of soap in the showerr and break your neck . Your highly more likely to do that , than becoming a noontime snack for Jaws

Yes, they've been found north of St. Louis and also in the Ohio River. They're carnivores that can attack unprovoked. Hardly anybody swims in the Mississippi. It's dangerous.
