moved to florida. then moved back to ohio

I saved my dads life when I was 12, dragged him out of our burning house. He weighed close to 100kg and I was around 45kg at the time. Had no hair left on my body, 3rd degree burns on my right hand and part of my pants melted to my legs. Was pretty lucky I got away with no scaring (except a tiny bit on the hand and one knee).

Got a sweet bravery medal from the State Government and some articles in the paper which I think my mom has kept somewhere.

Probably the craziest thing I've done for someone I love haha I never told him I literally pushed him down the stairs though :P

Proposed to my late wife on the ice skating rink. Came sliding up on one knee....and kept on going right into the wall face first. Was worth it, she said yes....after we got the bleeding stopped

When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us

What I did in the name of love?

I put my life on hold these last 8 yrs. to raise my son all on my own. Don't know where his mom is and I have no support group to help. He is 10 now and is very well adjusted.

Wouldn't have missed this opportunity for the world....
