I have felt smothered before. Not by affection or love, but by his concept of me being his "everything" which meant i was his girlfriend, his best friend, his family, his friends, his counselor....he thought he didnt need anybody but me, even when i urged him to go out and meet new ppl and make new friends. Too much pressure.... This isnt about me btw. If she urges me to go out, i go out! lol |

kinda the opposite. i used to be the one doing the smothering. then when i realized that that is how i behaved, i stopped. of course now i may not show enough interest. i have a hard time finding a happy medium.
