I believe that most people who follow politics are aware of the bi-partisan distractions and allegiances which stop what could be in the country's best interest... independents.

Why are caimpaigns allowed to be privately funded throughout the entire trail?

It does not take a genius to figure out that marketing is everything when selling a product to the public... including a candidate. So why is it acceptable to structure a system which inherently allows a monetary bias regarding caimpaign funds, which equate to exposure?

Why not allocate equal funding to all who make it to the primaries with the traditional methods intact prior to this?

Wouldn't this lesson the liklihood for corruption and personal favors, while truly giving a more equal opportunity for a third or fourth party candidate to be heard by the public?

Isn't it obvious? Most of the people with the authority to change it are in on it.

Yes, it is obvious, to some I suppose...

Although I am not certain what "it" is referring to. If this government is going to fund anything... it should be the campaigns of the elected officials!!!

What would that cost?

huh

It should tell you everything you need to know, when you face the fact that the Republicrats get together every election to make sure that it's only them allowed in the debates.

Do you really think either McCain or Obama were ready to tangle with the likes of Nader, McKinney or Baldwin?

We wouldn't want to inject any real issues into the campaign would we?

Same reason why guys like Gravel, Kucinich and Paul were treated like Oscar the Grouch, while folks who tow the line, like Biden and Romney were given all the chances in the world to spew their collective rhetoric.
