I just got a 29 gallon fish tank, lid, light, heater, and decorations for free
 I can't wait to set it up I went and got some gravel and a filter, now I need to decide what kind of fish I wanna get

has anyone checked out www.freecycle.com? It's got so many things randomly posted that people are giving away for free. Or if you just wanna get rid of something, it's an easy way to get rid of it quickly. Now I have another site to be addicted to

I was going to say, I'll bet you got that on freecycle.net!!! I've given lots away that way.

Get a ****load of goldfish.

Go fresh. Also used bottled water at least. Tap is way too contaminated and you will algae out bad if you use it.
I would say community fish which are small are your best bet. They are inexpensive usually. Tetras are a good start. If you go gold fish remember that they are COLD water fish and do not need a heater at all. Those are a good beginner fish because they require less maintenance and no need to keep the water warm during the winter. They do dig a lot though. |

I love it. I got a free mat for under my desk chair. Then at Christmas I got stinky perfume and gave it away. I had 5 people asking for the stuff. I had a hard time choosing who to give it to. Never knew stinky perfume had such a demand!! LOL |
