At first, when we separated (before the divorce), I would wake up all
night and wonder where he was. Had he left for work? (He got up at like 3 a.m. for work.) Was he getting ready for work? Could I still go out in the kitchen and say goodbye for the day? Oh, yeah, he's gone. That got old! Also, being a single mom, I was really afraid at night. I'd leave the lights on when he had the kids for the weekend. In a sad and good way, I got used to sleeping alone. I am afraid that that one side of my king-sized bed is going to get too used and I'll have to throw the whole thing out! Better find someone to help me balance out the mattress, lol. |

iRON I know what you are saying there,
Since we seperated I dont think I have slept 2 hours at a time. Yeah I miss not be able to put my cold feet somewheres to warn them. Just cant seem to get used to the part of going to bed alone. |

The time has not made it any easier to live alone, especially, sleep
alone! Sometimes I tend to work, a lot longer than I want to. Miss the warmth, the FEEL of that ONE, that shares my love, and bed!!! We tend to realize, the priorities are changed, and feel that empty space, not only in our beds, but in our hearts!!! |

For some reason, I hope I never get used to sleeping alone. It's like, a
piece of me, is gone; need to recover!!! (gotta get me some little guys) |

Night time is the worst for me too. I miss having someone to cuddle
with. |

Well, maybe I'm weird (don't be so quick to agree) but, if I was married
or living with a man, I'd want separate bedrooms. Don't get me wrong; there'd be plenty of sex and plenty of snuggling, but, when it comes time to go to sleep, I hate having someone in bed with me. (If we fall asleep together that's one thing). But me, being the queen of insomnia, for one thing, it's hard enough to fall asleep when i'm by myself. But knowing I can't sleep might be keeping someone else awake (tossing and turning, etc.) makes me sleep even that much less. I also like to keep the tv on all night. A lot of people can't tolerate that. And, I think each person should have their own private place they can go, where they can decorate it how they like, and they can go read or watch what they want to watch or lay down on their own bed, etc. I have sexual needs, I have romantic needs and I have the need for human contact/closeness, but ...a little goes a long way. I'd feel suffocated/smothered cuddling all night. That's just me. |
