is that scanner keeping you awake at night Mary? nah...I'm controlling myself! its suprizing how much goes on in town that we never hear about Now that I am an empty nester, could come in handy. In the west part of Des Moines there has been a series of some man breaking into houses and raping women...they have not caught him yet or have a discription of him. I live on the East side, but still scarey. I have my 2 dogs tho and they make me feel REAL safe. They love their mama and protect me very well.

have you ever given thought to a firearm Mary? My late husband always wanted me to cuz he was gone a lot in the National Guard, and my brother, the cop in Texas, bugs me, but I had too many kids in the house (5), and now, 10 grand kids to have one around. I used to do lots of hunting (DEER, RABBITS, SQUIRRELS) and did a lot of target paractice for fun, but just don't want one around. I gave all my boys all of their dads guns after he passed on. The dogs do just fine. They bark at EVERY little sound or movement!!!!

what kind of dogs? A humongous Boxer (80-90#) and a pug. The Boxer sounds a whole lot meaner than she is! Her lineage is Police Dogs so she is WAY bigger than a normal boxer. They are sweeties tho. I have pics of them on my profile and also on face book. Check them out.
