i know what you mean drew, nature has a way of kicking ass when least expected, and to a degree we had no idea that it existed sometimes....and sometimes it means as bad as death itself i've noticed, but wished i didn't witness.

Yes, I have dropped my standards, in fact I married one. Biggest mistake of my life. What can I say, I was at the lowest point of my life at the time, too young to know any better, and no one was around to slap the crap out of me. sometimes that's what you need. there should be an almight hand that reaches down from the heavens and b!tch slaps people whenever they're about to do something stupid. then again, we'd never learn from our mistakes. . . . but drew, you're very smart, and you learn fast from what i've seen. what good would a slap do you, but make you defiant and pissed off? no? yes? you've got a hell of a lot of heart, and why hurt that? that's what made you strong, your heart and compassion. pain only puts up barriers and hardens us, makes us weaker. and not lets us see what's really there. thanks owl. i've always been smart enough to learn from others' mistakes. that's not saying that i haven't made some of my own. i've just been lucky that i was able to get out before any major damage was done. i'm just talking about a b!itch slap to bring us back to our senses. love can blind us to what is really there. and loneliness and fear of loneliness can convince us that what is there isn't a major flaw and is worth tolerating. sometimes a good wake up call is called for. IMO . . . i always admire every single word coming from you and i think im learning too fast now. |
