Pictures by, and interviews with people who were there.

They prosecuted many of these "low importance, following orders" people. Now BHO wants to let those who gave and wrote those orders a free walk, and not look backwards.....

There is no end to the injustice as long as "those at the top" use their "powers" to coverup, conceal, deceive and redirect guilt to those who simply "followed orders". All were wrong, ALL were guilty, ALL must answer!

Demand prosecution and investigation leading to charges! NO FREE WALKS!

Looks like the "great American" has gone silent. Anybody hear anything further?

NEW YORK — The debate over torture is getting personal for two of cable TV's prime-time hosts. After Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity made a seemingly impromptu offer last week to undergo waterboarding as a benefit for charity, MSNBC's Keith Olbermann leapt at it. He offered $1,000 to the families of U.S. troops for every second Hannity withstood the technique.

Olbermann repeated the offer on Monday's show and said in an interview Tuesday that he's heard no response. He said he'll continue to pursue it.

"I don't think he has the courage to even respond to this _ let alone do it," Olbermann said.

Fox News Channel representatives did not respond to requests for comment.

The two men are on opposite poles of a debate that has preoccupied the worlds of talk TV and radio. Hannity says waterboarding is a fair and necessary interrogation technique for suspected terrorists; Olbermann calls it torture, says it's ineffective and should not be done by Americans.

Charles Grodin was challenging Hannity on the issue on Fox last week, and asked whether he would consent to be waterboarded.

"Sure," Hannity said. "I'll do it for charity ... I'll do it for the troops' families."

It wasn't exactly clear how serious the conversation was, since Grodin joked, "Are you busy on Sunday?" and Hannity laughed.

"I'll let you do it," Hannity said.

"I wouldn't do it," Grodin said. "I'll hand you a towel when you come out of the shower."

Olbermann's offer was quick. Besides the $1,000 per second, Olbermann said he'd double it if Hannity acknowledges he feared for his life and admits that waterboarding is torture.

"The idea of putting somebody in a position they have volunteered for, for charity, to respond to their own unsupportable claims, is in many ways priceless," Olbermann said.

Olbermann, who hasn't missed any chance to criticize his ideological enemies at Fox, concedes TV competition plays a part in his offer. But he said it was sincere, because he believes Hannity has had a damaging role in the debate.

"If you expose people to reality, even with someone who is denying reality, that can have a powerful and important impact," he said.

I'd still like to see that. I'd like even more to see it done to Olberman. He is a Hannity clone just serving a different set of special interests and only annoys me slightly more than Hannity

Sean,

I'm tired of waiting. Fish or cut bait. Do it or publicly wimp out. You always have something to say, Sean. Why nothing now?

Sounds like a good way to make money for charity. I hope he lasts a long time.

I think it's a great idea, too. It seems it's Mr. Hannity that's not so hot for it now.

My hunch is that somebody, maybe Ollie North, has spoken to Mr. Bigmouth privately and told him, "Sean. You don't want to do this".

Why dont you email him and ask him if he is going to do it.

Just sent....

What's the matter?

Let your mouth overload your ass (as usual)? Thought you were going to allow yourself to be waterboarded to support a charity for fallen soldiers families! After all it isn't torture, right?

You made the offer, with that mouth that condemns anyone one else for what they believe.

Your refusal to now accept a valid offer for a charitable cause that you implimented, says you don't practice what you preach. Your credibility is shot (not that it ever really was worth much).

It is my intent to initiate a blog for support of your offer, and time for you to whimper a "TV media" apology like the loser you are to America, or fulfill your promise!

A pissed off American patriot and veteran

Needless to say, Mr. Hannity did not reply to my email inquiring as to when his waterboarding will take place. This guy really irks me. He needs to either go through with it or admit that he is wrong about waterboarding being torture. There is no middle ground here.
The longer he waits, the more what little credibility he has left, will continue to evaporate.

Come on, Sean. We're still waiting.

At least he said he would do it:

On his show last night, Sean Hannity said he would volunteer to be waterboarded for charity. Putting his money where his mouth is on Countdown tonight, Keith Olbermann pledged $1000 per SECOND that Hannity lasts.

This I would pay to see.

Now. What are the odds that he will actually go through with it?

If they let a terrorist do it to him then it would be legitimate. Having a "friendly" do it is not the same as what we did to our "enemies".

True, but I'd be satisfied just to see him go through with it. From what I know of it, it's hell no matter who's doing it.
