It's already to much accepted in our culture, let them marry and that's like giving them a pedestal to stand on and all our children will view it as accepted by society and an acceptable alternative lifestyle Is that a bad thing? I think we should be teaching children love & acceptance instead of segregation and judgement |

If two persons programming allows them to make that choice they should not have it be denied. For people worried that their children will become "gay", if you programmed them not to be, and they aren't introduced to mind expanding drugs, then you really have nothing to worry about.

My personal opinion, such as it is.
Should they be allowed to marry? Absolutely. The actual marriage contract is a legal one, not a religious one. Should they be allowed to marry in a church? That should be up to the church, because then it becomes a religious situation not a legal one. A jewish couple cannot walk into a catholic church and marry, for example, yet no one causes an uproar over that. I do not believe that the government should be allowed to force the church to marry homosexual couples, if they elect not to. It violates the idea of separation of church and state, and people can't have it both ways. They can't scream about keeping prayer out of school, and then turn around and ask the government to force religious institutions to marry a couple that goes against their particular beliefs. *shrug* Again, however, that's my opinion. |
