I have been on this site for over 2 years, and not once have I bumped into a scammer.

Whats hit? Like scammed you mean? No, not me personally but I constantly get those "phishing scams" in my personal email. You know the ones where it claims you have won the lottery in Great Britain and so forth? Im not sure who is STILL falling for those.

I think it varies tremendously, depending on where you are on the internet at any given time.

On this site -- I haven't read every profile, but I have seen very few instances of obvious scamming here. The occasional incomprehensibly-garbled Manglish e-mail from a Russian floozy, but those are rare, and easily obliterated. I'd say about 97% of the e-mails I've received here are either from people I know through the forums or other site members with legitimate questions. Very few have ever been "gray-area" scenarios.

Other sites -- I've seen some where you can bet that 99% of what you see will be scammers/spammers.

I consider someone a scammer if they're trying to get my money or something of value from me by playing me for a sucker. A small percentage, here especially I think.

But truthfulness is another matter entirely. I won't try to put a percentage on it because I couldn't possibly be accurate using only my own experience. But for MY experience online, about 2 out of 3 were not telling the entire truth. 1 was insane.

I've not met anyone on this site so have no information.

I would say 98 percent are scammers.In four month's time i had contact
with 475 woman from all over the world.Only 15 woman are not scammers.
40 percent are from West Africa.
30 percent from America.
20 Percent from the Baltic states
5 percent from the UK.
3 percent from other country's.
On every site you get in,you find scammers.
And i have a long list of them.

Ok, am I naive or just stupid. I have met some really wonderful people from this site. Genuine, kind, interesting and have asked me for nothing but conversation. I've even met a few in person that more than lived up to what I knew of them on-line.
