Intelligence or a matching of intelligence is important to a relationship, I think.

I need a man who stimulates me intellectually.

Maybe another smart ass. I met a woman about a year ago that was an equal to me in smart-assedness, strangely, I didn't like it.

Unfotunately. But, that doesn't mean I need to be in a relationship with one. So yes, intelligence is definitely a good thing.

Almost the same works too.. I've dated many ladies that have degrees of one sort or another, and years of experience in their respective jobs. I, on the other hand, never liked school, have just a HS diploma, but have a decent IQ, and years of college under my belt, but in about 5 or 6 different fields.

I will not say that having a degree makes you smarter as a whole, just smarter in your field of study.

I have a brother in law that has a masters in business, but can't change a spark plug. He can build things though, so it's a trade-off. His wife, my step-sis, is an RN, and works with kids with cancer. She takes care of the cars...lol

Absolutely not. I don't care how beautiful, sexy, wealthy, funny, etc a woman is, if she can't carry on an intelligent conversation, I really am not interested. I don;t care if they have advanced degrees but I know myself and need someone that can understand me and tweak my brain a bit.
