even the military is or has been cracking down on tats. No longer you can not have them visable on the arms, necks etc. as they portray the military as thugs to others in the world..

Maybe I'm reading too much into your post, but the Military(or, at least the army) has become less stringent about tattoos. Now, you can have them as long as they are covered in the Class A uniform, and you can get a new tattoo with permission from you command. At one time recently(not sure if it's still the case) but new recruits were/are allowed to have tattoos on the hands and neck.

Other than my Military career, all my other jobs have been pretty lax about tattoos. I even got one of my 1/2 sleeves done, and had is visible, with no complaints.

But one would think that the powers of higher up would realize they were dealing with a very unhappy person. Why not a write up or suspension? Why did it have to come to this? There again, the criminal gets their way. I just cannot stand the fact that they still get all "rights" when they have done the crime.

If the tattoo is in that location, then why was she wearing clothing that could show it in a professional field?

Yep, our clients have way more rights than they should. A complaint was made to the Ombudsman and since the 'facts' were right, she has to go in front of the board now. I honestly hope that they see past that, but who knows, the state is crazy. Makes you nervous though....

We run around with kids alpt of the day. Shirts come untucked, things happen. It wasn't an intentional thing at all.

Got a tattoo right behind my left ear so...the whole "Below the neck" thing is out the window for me..

but, it is irrelevant...

To my experience, Enthusiasm, quality of performance and dedication is what makes a good employee....

I don't care where thier piercings are or aren't. If they have a good work ethic...that should count for more than one b*tchy client..

I don't care what thier tats are..unless it is like a swatika on the forehead or 666 on thier forehead...(I would probably just beat them with a pipewrench 15 seconds into the interview..)

The long and short of it...clientel will always b*tch, gripe or complain about SOMETHING!

What must be factored is...

is the employee a good employee who has the prospect of years and growth with my company?...

Then you compare that with the client...

Will this client provide years of loyalty to our product?...or is that individual contract nothing more than a bitter old whining b*tch?

Ya gotta crunch numbers on the individual situations.....

We have shed many customers in that exact fashion...and our margin of profit blows the other 6 branches of our company, out of the water.
