Topic: Complain about your taxes! | |

I presume you are talking about a sales a tax.
The amount would have to increase to more like 35% to make the revenue gathered equal to what the gov needs are. It would also be unfair! |

Why do we have to pay so much tax? I mean we pay our payroll taxes, then we get taxed at the bank. Then we get taxed at the grocery store. Then we get taxed for our clothes, cars, loans, property taxes, luxury taxes, etc etc...Wonder how much tax that really adds up to?

Gov. believes they are more worthy than Him. We gots ta' pay fo' dem Politicians high life, the raises they so desperately need to get by, and their extravagant Benis. Decrease in political wages, stop the bribes and cut back travel reimbursements. 10% across the board would work. |

10% on what?
You are pretty unspecific! |

10% of income earned, dump all the sales taxes and user taxes.

10% of income earned, dump all the sales taxes and user taxes. Wont work and wouldnt be fair! And who, pray yell, would it not be fair to? They could learn to make it work or lose their jobs. Well let's see! Sales tax in most states is already 8%. Some more. Then you have property taxes which go to pay local police, water and sewage treatment facilities, fire depts etc. Then you have taxes on gas, which go to fund highway projects, and environmental problems, etc. Then you have many people who already make min wage and cant make it week to week on that let alone burden them with a 10% tax on their wages. That's just a start. I dont think you've thought this through very much! |

That's just a start. I dont think you've thought this through very much! They are already paying in up to 25% income tax. Limit income tax to 10%. The gas tax can be lowered. The use of food stamps could be restricted to the purchases of purely healthy foods. No soda, candy, junk foods. End automatic raises to Gov. Leave it to the People to either vote them pay increases or reductions. Jail the Tax cheats, starting with the ones in gov. |

End automatic raises to Gov. Leave it to the People to either vote them pay increases or reductions. Jail the Tax cheats, starting with the ones in gov. YES!!! I am in complete agreement on this foodstamp thing. It is shameful how they spend it. I work in retail. I see it daily and it almost ruins my day by how mad I get at this. They should make them account for those spendings. I see it all the time! Candy bought for easter..30, 40 , 50 dollars at a time! Parties and so forth. Junk food...chips by the bags. Energy drinks...pop...it is horrible to me to know that I am helping them do this. I mail my concerns all the time. When I voted on the Obama thing, I read where that is a concern to many people. As well as they trade them for cash (for drugs most likely)50 cents on the dollar! For a hundred dollars in stamps you give them 50 dollars. What a deal. Not only that...when they have stuff that costs money...they then bring out more cash than I have. I see it. I see the wads of cash. Most wearing jewelry and clothes I can't even afford. I am sick of it I tell you. I see their cars...I can't even afford one. Now that is not to say all of them mind you. But, very many. As for the tax cheats...many are out there..everyday citizens. Trying to find every kind of way to get away with something. Kat |

Oh...and the healthy food thing? These people are lazy. I see them buy almost all frozen food that is to be heated up. It is cheaper to buy food and cook it than to buy these kinds of food. These frozen dinners have small amounts of actual food. 5 kids...five dollars and the drink, the desert...I could fix a healthy dinner for all of them and have them full for what they spend on those foods.
I talk to them all the time for my own information. So I can make my mind up to if I am wrong or not. I get told that this frozen thing is for a snack and this is for lunch and this is for dinner. Add it up. This could easily run up a food bill to 30 or 40 dollars a day. It's wasteful spending. Kat |

Sort of rushing thru I noticed "willing" had said a 10% tax would be reasonable, and Fanta had stated it would take more due to all the expeditures.
This is false if you are talking a "Federal" tax. State and local "direct and indirect taxes" support those things. These taxes are imposed by state and local government and some can be avoided if you don't use the product. Fuel tax pays for roads, as does vehicle registrations and permits. Tobacco and alcohol and gambling (sin taxes) along with sales tax adds to state economies to fund parts of health care and education. Property taxes also fund these as well as local government. This of course is a partial list for there are usery taxes, utility taxes, and so on. The Federal government gets their piece of each of these pies when a city incorporates within a state, the state being incorporated into the union of states (The United States of America) and tax regulated commodities before dispersment (medications, alcohol, tobacco, utilities, duties, etc, etc, etc). Each state funds its own representatives to government by contractual salary and amenities. Within these guidelines the government (composed of these elected/contracted "employees of the people of each state) is funded largely by the individual states. Federal government imposes income tax on corporations , duties on imported and exported products, and each state based on population, productivity and economy. Until 1913 this was a working, well oiled, machine creating a nation of growth, wealth and productivity. The "Bank Run" of 1909, which lead to the destruction of the economy at that time, was caused by an influential banker who in cooperation with other private bankers, spread a "false rumor" that a large independent bank was insolvent creating a chain of events which all but bankrupted the economy and the average American. Enter the Federal Reserve! With promises to prevent such a thing "ever" happening again, these private bankers wormed their way into control of our currency. Soon after, the great depression, the gold siezure (creating the Federal Reserve Note and removing our gold standard which made us great), and WW1, WW2, Viet Nam and many other "small wars" which government had to "borrow our money back" to finance. We became an indebted nation, indebted to a small few private bankers (many who funded our enemies also in times of war to keep it going...ie Bush's grand daddy, the Rockefellers and others) who now controlled our currency. When these debts could not be paid timely, we the American people were promised as "collateral/slaves" to these private bankers and the IRS and an income tax on "personal" wages was born. Twice these bankers tried to get Congress to make this "new" tax law, and twice it was thrown out as "unconstitutional"! The bankers proceeded with it's creation anyway leveling the threat of economic collapse against the government, and here we are today.... still their slaves! David Rockefeller is quoted as saying: "Give me control of a nations money and I care not for its laws." This is but one of those we are enslaved to. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? You tell me! |

But WIC is specific to which and what brand can be bought. What foods in general. Like cereal and milk and bread and peanut butter, formula. It is real specific. Food stamps is too open. Anything for consumption except booze is acceptable. Kat |
