That is scandalous ground you are having to ask about!!!! Say "back off or I will have to shrink you!" and point a shrink gun at him. (Oh sorry, that is what Reducto would do...) mayhaps a swift kick to the groin would have to suffice?

if you became friends with the significant other of one of your close friends.... and (s)he tells you that (s)he is attracted to you? do you tell your friend? Nooooooooooooooooooo you stay away from both of them until they break up.

I would slap him down.... and let him know I am going to let my friend know he hit on me... and then I would let my friend know EXACTLY what he said. My friends know me, they know I will speak up... and say it plain...and because I don't fluff about, and have the deepest respect for my friends, as they do me.... I would not lose a friend.... but she would have a more informed idea of who her partner may be.

Something like that happened to me & at first, I chose to keep my mouth shut...after royally b!tching him out about it... But then she came to me saying that another friend was complaining of the same thing...but added "Well, you know how so & so is...always making a mountain out of a molehill..." That's when I decided to tell her about him hitting on me...suffice it to say that some women do not want to know the truth & she & I are no longer friends...

No, and step back away from the situation. shouldn't the friend know that (s)he is in love with a creep? They will find out soon enough without my help. Very good answer in my opinion.

who the hell says they'd be a part of cheating on their pal? who'd admit that??? really... i'd probably pray to god they were drunk off their asses and walk away without slapping them. unless they were sober. then i'd laugh and call my friend over... be like "oh my god guess what your man just told me" watch the melee commence.

I tell the one who is "attracted" to me that I'm not interested, in spite of her (her good traits/features here) and only tell my girl if it will not cause a rift. Amazingly enough, this has happened to me more than once. Everyone thinks Im Mr KNow it all smartass at first, but I DO grow on ya. lol Got invited to lunch at some friends so I am outta here.
