so i just felt the need to make this post because there are certain people in this world and one or two on mingle whose every other word is one to assert his/her superiority and put down/ridicule others in a cynical, arrogant manner that never fails to irk me. this isn't meant to matter to anyone. just wanted to vent because i'm not one to hide or swallow my feelings in fear of ANYONE. enjoy the remainder of your night all. Pricks will be pricks

Hmmmm one person's condescending arrogant prick, is another's confident capable comfort. It depends on the filters we wear, as to what we see... and a person's writing style that is clipped, and concise, and direct, can appear to one, as arrogant, and to another, just what it is intended to be.... concise. Taking responsibility for another's intentions can be a dangerous place to view the world... all sorts of imagined slights, defensive stances can arise. It does depend what we have experienced in our lives, who we believe ourselves to be, where we are at, exactly in that moment, as to how we process another's words. I love having this kind of a reaction, it is a mirror... and shows me where I need to work... by the triggers that are activated.

For some that is a defense mechanism. Kids are forced to develop it for positive reinforcement when their parents show no affection. That internal praise trick can be pretty goddam powerful - McCain used it. It goes bad when a person starts letting it out, where it hurts everyone else through exclusion.
