well its funny as there was this guy that i started to talk to about 6months or so ago(before i met my guy) and his pic showed he was white and he does live in the states.. and i had talked to him on the phone a few times. but it was funny because resontly i was going through my friends list,, and his profile totally changed from a white guy to a black guy.. and he never had any form of accent..

but yea i have ran across a few scammers. .im sure we all have

Yes, a girl maybe, the first day logged on. We chatted a little in IM, they "He/She/It"(coulda been a bot) asked few odd questions and stuff never answered any. at the end of the chat they said "I like you. your very interesting, let me give you my cell phone number here in Nigeria."

I reply with "that wont be necessary I have my blackberry I can IM ya with out international fees via the web"

Never heard from her again... LOL

I recently received a very long copy and paste email from a white man from New York. He would love to "visit Africa someday because he wants to see the big city of black people." laugh

Report those emails. The Administrators here will take care of it. flowerforyou He's gone now, btw.

Nigeria has been the home to many many scams over the last decade or so. I have noticed recently that some of the scammers seem to be catching on that the mere name of the country itself has become a red flag, and are shifting their bases of operation to Ghana.
