This is why they say by simply turning to generic drugs, the total cost of healthcare would decrease by 25%. Absolutely, until they figure out as way to turn that around as well. Personally I do my level best to know what foods are the most healthy to prevent most sickness. So I can avoid all of it. As a general rule I very rarely get sick. I know that to get a drug approved from the government it takes roughly ten years and over a billion dollars.In reality we can say the drugs and technology you get from hospitals are stuck in 1999.But good article you posted(bored). in med school they tell their students it can take up to 20 years... |

Well don't congratulate me too much, I still smoke, but I take vits that curb some of the damage they do. It must work because I can still work rings around people much younger than myself with out loosing my breath. I just figure it's the only damn thing that I actually do enjoy that I can actually afford, so what the hell, I am going to die of something one way or the other, I just do everything else right and hope that I can at least avoid being bedridden for any length of time. If I, who hates being sick for more than a day, must endure any time in really bad shape, I will handle it when the time comes.. And it won't be by having people spoon feed me and laying in a hospital bed on indigent care or sucky insurance. |
