Can you give me a run down of Tony Barrows' greatest hits, band year song and highest position in the charts... I think he is a great footnote in pop music.

Tony Burrows. Sure! He's sang lead vocals on more hit records for more groups in the U.S. as well as his home U.K. than any other recording artist. His biggest songs were:
"Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)" - Edison Lighthouse (1970) "My Baby Loves Lovin'" - White Plains (1970) "Gimme Dat Ding" - The Pipkins (1970) "Beach Baby" - First Class (1974) "United We Stand" - Brotherhood Of Man (1970) He is the only vocalist in history to have the distinction of being on the BBC's Top Of The Pops (February 1970) to front three different acts in the same show (Edison Lighthouse, White Plains, and Brotherhood Of Man). A few weeks later, he was back again on the show, performing with The Pipkins. He has performed as a session singer with Elton John, James Last, and Cliff Richard, as well as recorded solo work. |

Can the rest of us ask questions, too?

I'll indulge as best I can, sure.

Deep Purple broke up a million times. There was an album called...P.A.L. I am trying to find out more about it. I think it was the initials of the members????? I had the album many years ago, and have never seen or heard it again. If you find anything about it, I would dig that

Okay, that one's throwing me. I ain't never heard of a Purple album called P.A.L., and it's not band members' initials. I'll see if I can come up with anything.
*EDIT* I just played a hunch, and I was right. It was an offshoot of Purple, kind of a side-project. P.A.L. stands for Paice/Ashton/Lord. http://www.paiceashtonandlord.co.uk/ |

For some reason I think it was Paige, Atmore?? and L???? It was made when they broke up and some of the members tried to do something on their own....It didn't go well. Except for..Blackmores..Rainbow Rising.
That's IT.....YOU ARE THE MAN.....Thank you |
