OK, so tonight is the night I am making stuffed peppers. But one question. How do I peel a tomato?

OK, so tonight is the night I am making stuffed peppers. But one question. How do I peel a tomato? Buy them or use a parring knife. Must make sure that its sharp and u dont go deep in the fruit. |

You can blanche them.. dip them in boiling water for about a minute and the peeling will come right off...

Thanks guys. I think I will try the boiling method. I am not careful enough to try to use a paring knife to get that rather thin peel off....LOL
And as for the canned, I have thought of it but wanted everything to be perfect for this meal, and buying canned just did not seem proper. |

here's is what you do, put it on flat surface like pavement, or concrete get a good running start, run and jump on it, and if you jump on the very top, the tomato will slide right out the skin, thus leavin the guts right there,

yup yup you boil them for 3-5 minutes then dip in ice bath and peel easily

Hm, I try and learn something new every day, And this thread was it. Thanx guys. Will have to try that next time I make chili.
