I was home bound
Alone when I met you Your eyes peering Into mine seeing thru The acrylic shelter I had nested into Telling myself that I prefer the confines And securities of These walls rather Than sleep in an Unknown bed Taking a journey Holding many Uncertainties Potentially ...Hazardous .....To my health… But you held out a Beckoning hand Sincere and inviting As you painted Picture perfect Portraits of You and me Swimming in tandem In a turquoise sea Endlessly calm And cool … With hypnotic words You manufactured Majestic Mountains Beckoning Tempting heights Never before Attained Treasures to Be found and Gained in the Unexplored… And when you Gave to me a Placid glassy ocean Brilliantly bright Reflecting a snapshot Shimmering Star filled night Hovering over the Lights of Seattle Highlighted in Warm whispers Promising I’d be Safe with you There was Nothing more I’d rather do than Go on this tendered Expedition No matter where It led … So I got dressed In my very best in Anticipation of this Long trip we had Mapped out Never dreaming it Would end before It had even begun … I had imagined a Joyful trek up a long Winding mountain trail Lushly lined in green Successfully ascending Sometimes harsh Sharply peaked terrain Descending into Glorious valleys Veined in quicksilver Rivulets chiming music Sweetly soothing… Instead I found myself On a dry dusty path Leading me … …nowhere… With no hesitation you Brought me to this Arid Weed filled God forsaken destination Leaving me to Stand alone Choking on regret Dry mouthed from The dirt kicked up by Your sudden defection Covered with particles Of abandoned affection Holding an unclaimed Trip voucher to Nirvana… Mystified Horrified Cried out and Dry eyed As I mutter … I knew I Should have Found A different Travel Agent … Jan 2009 |

Wow Wizzy, amazing write
....it's true, at one time or another, in our humanity, it seems we choose to move forward with something or someone when our gut says otherwise...but we learn from not listening, to listening... ...Loving and supporting ((((you)))) through this time |

The roads and paths to bliss, often end as provocative and careless as a roadside piss. wink..

our purported destinations aren't always what they appear or what we envisioned....like a mirage in the desert. Here's to a wonderful write and hoping with time your travels find you in a much more pleasant place.
