If any of you have ever been or are currently in a relationship where you met the person online, do you feel embarrassed when you tell someone how you met your partner??

I am asking because every time i tell someone how I met the woman that I am with, they look at me with disgust and shock...such as to say "You had to stoop down to ONLINE dating?!?!?"...Don't get me wrong, I am in NO WAY ashamed of how I met this woman and I am definitely not embarrassed. I am just curious to see how others feel about it.

Do you get uncomfortable telling people that you online date? Or are you proud of it and don't care what others think? Let me know how you feel.

I suppose there is still some stigma to it depending upon who you are talking with. But, tell them to just get over it!!! It's better than a bar pickup with the hopes of something more. It's better than poking around in the back of some tabloid at ads. Sure, it's a strange new world, but in spite of any drawbacks, there is a lot of positive stuff to be gained by going on line like this. It's not as if you are on domywife.com or some inane "hook up" site!!! You'll see! If those people ever split with their mates, they'll be in YOUR SHOES!!!

most people thought traveling by Automobile, rather than horse and buggy was "suspect", as well.

It could be worse. At least you don't have to say you met them on MySpace.
