nope. The only way for the posts to come off of "my topics" is for you to post in other topics and it will eventually drop off your list. But... it comes right back up if someone else posts in it.

Is there a way to disable them or anything?

the only other way is if it reaches to be 50 pages long and it gets locked so no one else can post in it...

It's a public forum so everyone gets to post wherever they want. We can't just go deleting our posts. Though sometimes, it would sure be nice to be able to.

See the one thing I don't like is you can't delete the posts that you do or at least remove your name from that discussion and it's not fair you can't.....that's why i like myspace is cause you can delete stuff

Once you post... it's a done deal.
I suppose if you wanted to you could go back to your posts and edit out anything you said... but it will still show you posted there. You will be able to edit / delete what you said tho.

you just click the edit button under where you posted. it brings your post back up for you to edit.

do you see where it says 'edit / quote / reply on the bottom right of your post? click on edit. Same way you would quote someone.

I think it's crappy when someone deletes their post, especially for the people who follow who've quoted it, or replied to it. Without a proper chain of events, it makes those following posts appear stupid. I've seen where people purposely try to incite others and then, days later, remove their own posts and the retaliators get penalized.

I believe there is a time limit here for editing purposes, however, I don't know long of a period they give.
