Kat, i wish i had an answer for you, it doesn't seem fair to me, from what you describe. I really have no clue as to how the military operates. I more than appreciate our men and women who serve, and they are in my prayers. I just wish it would end, and everybody could come home.

I'm former military also. I always had to pay my leave transportation and flights. And I trained RRs. He needs to contact his gaining unit command for any discrepancies and problems. All information should be listed on his orders. Fairness is not in his doctrine. You are property of the united states government until 16 months after your inactive reserves are up under the wartime act. Sorry for your problems. My best advice is to keep a cool head and inquire gently. I have been in beurocratic limbo. And its not palateable. But it happens. As for others paying way to serve- I find it hard to believe unless there are strange circumstances. Military airlift command, strategic air command, and military cordoned commercial air flights are the best organized in the world for reimbursement. Especially in times of war. Best of luck with your situation. I'm a combat decorated vet that supports our troops.

Ditto! Have him go to his gaining unit command and go up the chain from there....also if he is deployed, he should have been issued a government travel credit card....if he uses that, he is responsible for any charges mad eon it, BUT they are reimbursible with a travel claim voucher.

Best of luck....do what longhairbiker says...that will be your best course of action.

If his orders are from perscom or first perscom, he can contact them immediately by phone or net. I suggest he does it immediately to take care of the discrepancies. The contacts again will be on his orders.

Is soldiers and veterans being treated badly news? Anyone? Can anyone tell me if veterans been treated like sh1t has happened before? ...

Do citizens know they're going to be treated as soldiers before they sign up but signed up anyway?

Yes?

Yes.

They sold their soul to the devil and now they're crying about it. Last time I checked, military service was not mandatory before they signed their name on the paper.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selective_Service_System

May not be mandatory in this setting, but military service can and eventually will be mandatory. Face it, our country is shattered and we are leaving the reigns to someone that is not as apt to handle the situations before him. Taxes are being raised all over the country and we are throwing trillions of dollars we don't have in the first place to fix an economical situation that wouldn't exist in the extreme it does if we hadn't thrown trillions of dollars into it in the first place.

A little math for you lot: We were in debt buy roughly 13 trillion dollars; we are now throwing another some odd billion into the market and other companies to restimulate the crisis.

Here, let me show you about how this is going to work:

-13,000,000,000,000-600,000,000,000...well, anyway, we come out under.

Oh, by the way that equation puts us under -13,600,000,000,000...we are effectively going broke, and the rate we are going, within a year we will be nearly as bad as Mexico.

Thank you all again. I appreciate you all.

He is working on something. I am a little worried, but he is a grown man and mom cannot tell him what to do. I try, but alas...he does what he thinks is right.

Praying this all works out for the good.

I will take all info and pass it on.
