Topic: My answer to the problem in Mexico. | |

Send in a predator or two with napalm...
If you in a drug field you is a 'enemy combatant'... Remove the drugs... No more money to buy guns... do the same thing to the poppy fields in Afganistan. Bet they could do it with a world wide coordinated strike. Would need no troops (other then the predator pilots - which would be in a safe area)... No American losses. |

can't make an airstrike in a sovereign nation without starting a war with that nation

Would not be making an aggressive action against the nation...
would be pursing criminals under the various international laws already on the books for such things. If the nation had done something about the problem then it would not be necessary to take such action... old book I once read... Blacks Law. The community (our world is such) has the right to protect itself against an individual or group of individuals that is endangering that community or placing members of the community at risk. (I paraphrased it but I am sure you get it) then again if it eliminates the problem why worry about a protest to the united nations... such things take a lot of time. The enemy however would have been denied a large portion of its financial assets. Sometimes it is necessary for a leader to make harsh and sudden judgements and let history sort out the right or wrong of it. |

can't make an airstrike in a sovereign nation without starting a war with that nation So what are we doing in Pakistan then? My own take: Close down some of the hundreds of useless, unnecessary overseas bases and start a revolving door of military on the border, I'm a firm believer in Posse Comitatus, but the crap going on down there is extreme and will need a hardcore response, nevermind all the cases of Mexican Military escorting the scumbags over our border and even shooting at border guards. (This would also severly curb Illegal Immigration.) Legalize the drugs, it will hurt the Cartels in the worse way possible, their pocket books. |

they are working to get Natinal Guard troops on the border (mostly those who have Iraq experience)
the current plan calls for the troops to be on standby as a rapid response to back up law enforcement. The cops would go after the bad guys and when they get in a fire fight (which they have been backing down from currently) then and only then will the National Guard be called in to support the cops |

that sounds like a defense of George Bush G. Bush will be judged by history... Not by me. EVERY us president has (at one point in his time in office) found it necessary to make a such a decision. The one in office now is currently faced with a delima of following plans made in darkness or doing what he now knows is right (briefings are wonderfull things)... wonder if he has made it through all 43 past personal secret messages foward. |

Let's end the whole problem and pull a China! Take Mexico over. Send in the troops, kill the drug lords. Kill everyone with the number 13 tattooed to them. Make Mexico part of the united states. We may be inheriting their problems but then again no more border issue any more either!
Just think, all that oil, no needing a passport to go there, Making them all Speak ENGLISH! Then again why should we save that armpit of a country from itself? If they cannot maintain order for themselves why should we do it for them? Since their criminal activities have been spilling into our country we need to honor the border less and send in military strikes of our own and blast on the Mexican military like they have done to is from their side of the border but do it on THEIR side for a change. Some of those fools fancy themselves in the likes of Pancho Villa. Do crime on our side and flee to Mexico where they are nice and safe. Sorry but no sympathy for Mexico here. I feel sorry for their people but not the country itself |

we could annex Mexico and then join OPEC

If it's Mexican cops, even if they are on the Mexican side of the border, on the riverbank, American troops can do nothing but watch. If the Mexican crosses the river, cop or bad guy, they'll be apprehended, processed and deported. If the bad guy dropped his dope on the Mexico side, he can't be prosecuted here for drugs. |

Would I go down to the local 7-11 and buy a pack of Mary Jane and a vial of Coke-aine? Would Philip Morris start growing and selling weed? Would Pfizer start producing coke? |

PK Morris already has been ready for that. They have reserved the name Marlboro Gold for the product. It has labeling similar to the GOLD packs of cigs but is clearly identifed as Marlboro Gold. |

Well my goodness... North Korea can violate UN Resolutions and launch... and the UN as a whole does nothing... reckon we can do as we wish and when the UN starts jumping up and down and waving their collective arms about like a jilted monkey... We can settle back to business as usual with a bit of finger on the out Briefing... And a lot less drugs on the market to interfere with California's bumper crop. |

can't make an airstrike in a sovereign nation without starting a war with that nation Bush got around that by calling the attack in Iraq a "military action". We never officially declared war on the sovereign nation of Iraq. |
