When I find an author I identify with-I read everything they have
written
Clockwork Orange is an exercise. Try the Two-Hundred Year Old Man by
Burgess...it's a hoot.
If you have read Catch-22, get the sequel Heller wrote "Closing Time."

cool. I do the same thing... once I find an author I like, I read
everything I can. Have you read any Augusten Burroughs? At points I
was laughing so hard!! I will check out Bryce Courtney.

Hey Jess! Courtney is excellent! Like John Irving-all of his early stuff
was autobiographical in nature, then with "Cider House Rules" he pounded
out an excellent tale straight from his narrative gift!
Great section in "A Widow For One Year" set in Amsterdam-makes me think
of Alex.
Phillip Roth and Saul Bellow-two more of my fav's.
