Live Vote
Do you believe President Bush's actions justify impeachment? * 428599
responses

Yes, between the secret spying, the deceptions leading to war and more,
there is plenty to justify putting him on trial.
88%

No, like any president, he has made a few missteps, but nothing
approaching "high crimes and misdemeanors."
4.5%

No, the man has done absolutely nothing wrong. Impeachment would just
be a political lynching.
6.1%

I don't know.

I can not believe the IGNORANCE of all those people claiming
impeachment. There has been NOTHING to show that persident bush has
done anything to deserve impeachment!!!!!

This same thing was doen when Clintons affair came out. And you know
what? If you can not seperate moralities from legalities, then you need
to close your mouths, go back to school and LEARN the differance!

This is not aimed at you fanta, I know you think things through.

Republican Senator Suggests Impeachment
Tuesday, March 06, 2007
"Before this is over, you might see calls for his impeachment."

This is a quote from Republican Senator Chuck Hagel of Nebraska.

The great concern of the Constitution was that there never be an
imperial presidency disregarding law and usurping powers of the
government and the people. This is further revealed by two provisions in
Article II of the Constitution. The final clause of Article II, Section
3, which follows the recitation of Presidential powers and duties set
forth in Sections 2 and 3, provides "he shall take care that the Laws be
faithfully executed..." The last paragraph of Article II, section 1
prescribes the Oath or Affirmation to be taken "Before he enter on the
Execution of his Office" ... "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I
will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States,
and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the
Constitution of the United States."

By the impeachment power, the authors of the Constitution intended to
prevent the emergence of a tyrant, or despot in the form of a President
who could destroy "the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our
posterity."

Sound like Bush? Does to me, and you can deny it all you want dan, its
in the works. Mind you I think they should wait until hes out of office
and then try him. Then he wont have his cronies to back him up and it
would do less damage to the country, but its happening. Watch the news,
and I voted for him the first time but he abused his power repeatedly,
and that was just his first term.. LMAO I didn't vote for him last time
I'm not that dense. Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on
me...

I don't know why you had to create another thread for this. there was
already one, but that's ok. It don't matter, either thread Bush is a
dictator when he goes against the People and Congress when his actions
are not supported by a majority, and he is far, far from a majority.

Even as we speak, he is putting American soldiers lives at risk by
vetoing the spending bill approved by Congress. All because he thinks
hes right in his agenda when 67% of the pop thinks hes wrong and the
majority of our elected leaders have voted according to the peoples
wishes. That is the actions of a dictator if Ive ever heard of one.

The think I like about the poll is how overtly biased it is. It makes
assumptions have crimes that the President hasn't been charged with or
convicted of. Bill Clinton's secret spying operation was much more far
reaching and had nothing to do with national security. Since Carter,
every President has taken advantage of the President's right to spy in
cases of national security. The deceptions leading to the war? Bill
Clinton, Al Gore, John Edwards, John Kerry, etc etc etc had all seen the
same Intelligence that the President had seen and they all agreed. This
is the lowest form of politics I have ever seen, agreeing with a policy
until the policy fails and then deny ever having supported the policy.
It's only because the MSM are willing slaves to the Democrats that we
haven't had their pathetic claims completely debunked, revealing those
democrats as the worms and rats that they are.

Well they were lied to about the intelligence and that is one of the

intelligence reports were doctored and erroneous. Traced all the way
back to Cheney's desk. Dont you ppl watch Current events.

"Fanta46,

****************************************************************

Why would you want to see that? You would just dismiss it, as Daniel
does..

If you were privy to ALL that Bush has done to merit impeachment, you
would still deny it..

As far as you and Daniel go, Bush is a freakin saint!

No!! Hei us as close to the Devil as a human being can get!

Fanta, show me where there was abuse of Police powers. It seems that
according to your definition of Tyrany this would be easy to prove.

You used sentences out of different articles, would you mind posting the
entire article for all to see how it is worded? I could take the
constitutional articles out and post limited portions and someone might
believe they are taken out of context. I could agree with you if it
didn't appear that you have done this, so I think I will rest my
judgement on the entire proceeding and claims when I have all the
information required to follow through with this.

Just wantr a little more clarifications please.

Pentagon report admits fabricated intelligence used to justify Iraq war

A few months after George Bush took office, Greg Thielmann, an expert on
disarmament with the State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and
Research, or INR, was assigned to be the daily intelligence liaison to
John Bolton, the Under-Secretary of State for Arms Control, who is a
prominent conservative. Thielmann understood that his posting had been
mandated by Secretary of State Colin Powell, who thought that every
important State Department bureau should be assigned a daily
intelligence officer. “Bolton was the guy with whom I had to do
business,” Thielmann said. “We were going to provide him with all the
information he was entitled to see. That’s what being a professional
intelligence officer is all about.”

But, Thielmann told me, “Bolton seemed to be troubled because INR was
not telling him what he wanted to hear.” Thielmann soon found himself
shut out of Bolton’s early-morning staff meetings. “I was intercepted at
the door of his office and told, ‘The Under-Secretary doesn’t need you
to attend this meeting anymore.’ ” When Thielmann protested that he was
there to provide intelligence input, the aide said, “The Under-Secretary
wants to keep this in the family.”

Eventually, Thielmann said, Bolton demanded that he and his staff have
direct electronic access to sensitive intelligence, such as
foreign-agent reports and electronic intercepts. In previous
Administrations, such data had been made available to under-secretaries
only after it was analyzed, usually in the specially secured offices of
INR. The whole point of the intelligence system in place, according to
Thielmann, was “to prevent raw intelligence from getting to people who
would be misled.” Bolton, however, wanted his aides to receive and
assign intelligence analyses and assessments using the raw data. In
essence, the under-secretary would be running his own intelligence
operation, without any guidance or support. “He surrounded himself with
a hand-chosen group of loyalists, and found a way to get C.I.A.
information directly,” Thielmann said.

What am I your teacher, Some ppl can face the proof eye to eye and still
convince their self its wrong!!!

And, while we are on the subject, I find it pathetic that whenever an
allegation of misconduct by bush surfaces..you war
mongers/Bush/Haliburton lovers cry.."But, look at Clinton!"

Get over it..Bush is the one who has put Americans in harms way, made
them hated throughout the world, and brought America to its knees,
morally and financially!

By Michael Isikoff
Newsweek
April 11 issue - When a Senate panel released a report last year on the
disastrously bad intelligence on Iraq, it included an intriguing e-mail
that showed how intensely the administration was looking for damning
evidence against Saddam. The e-mail, written by a senior CIA official,
addressed a debate that the agency's analysts were having about
Curveball, an erratic Iraqi emigre who claimed to have seen Saddam's
supposed mobile biological-weapons labs. The CIA had evidence that
Curveball was a shameless fabricator months before Secretary of State
Colin Powell cited the Iraqi's reports before the United Nations. But in
the Feb. 4, 2003, e-mail—written a day before Powell's U.N.
appearance—the senior CIA official sharply rebuked one of those
skeptical analysts. "Keep in mind the fact that this war's going to
happen regardless of what Curve Ball said or didn't say and that the
Powers That Be probably aren't terribly interested in whether Curve Ball
knows what he's talking about," the CIA official wrote.

I guess you could argue it both ways, but to believe he didnt you would
have to be a biased Bush fanatic, and like I said I voted for him the
first time!!!

This is really getting out of control. I just thought some would be
interested in the results of the poll. I didnt want to argue about it.

Im more interested in the link on the original link about the issues the
Pres cand. and their stances. I voted on the poll but not for
impeachment, LMAO, I think it would be an injustice to the American ppl
and the soldiers in Iraq to drag this through the press and suck up
congres attention when there are more important things at hand. Sorry
for riling yall..

I should never have posted it, I just thought it was interesting how
many ppl were for it.
