How something is said is as important as what is being said. It is possible to tell the truth in a fashion that is not rude or demeaning to the other person.

Yea, what HE said.....You can be honest, and mean.

Or you can be honest, and compassionate..flowerforyou

Which, more often than not, does not get the point across, and the person still doesn't learn.

I agree with this I am honest and I expect honesty back. I am not sure I buy into the political correctness of this aspect since this concept has been handed down through time and is actually ancient and we all know politics change dramatically.

I believe the truth can be given no matter how painful it is going to be and leave the person's pride intact.

IMO In my world if a person has to be cruel with truth then truth becomes a weapon and as in no longer pure truth but a projections of their disappointments past and present. Again this is just my opinion.

Its better to go ahead and tell it like it is than beat around the bush.

If your in a position that you have to lie to someone...then more than likely you got yourself in that position somehow. So you shouls "man up" so to speak and tell the truth like it is and accept the outcome.

Rude and demeaning according to who? Many people take offense at the slightest bit of truth. They do not wish to have anything intrude on their "own realities."

Come on...everyone should know, there's a right way, and a wrong way to deliver a msg.....

I'm wise enough to realize if I"m having a discussion, or being ridiculed, or being told the truth with tact.....

If someone doesn't get the picture, thats their fault.....If they know you any at all...........spock

Would you rather hear the truth no matter what or would you rather have it candy coated?
