I can't sign in, I don't know why. My password never changed, I get to the smiling face and saying "signing in as>>>) and then it hangs there for a minute and throws me off.
What is going on? |

I can't get Yahoo at all!!!
All I get is "Internet Explorer cannot display this Webpage... |

Java...update it, also, i don't use IE, (except when i have to) i use mozilla. I was talking with a friend, and she says install IE version 8..at any rate, good luck.
*edit* if you're planning on upgrading IE, i would do that before updating java. |

try icq.. it's more advanced that yahoo.. you can get it for free at either download.com, icq.com, or tucows.com I don't know anyone on ICQ , 99% of my contacts are on yahoo messenger, and the 1% is on MSN msngr. |

What is going on? yahoo does that sometime it all depends on your area that is why some can log in and some can't sometimes it will be down and hour sometimes a day but it will come back up again and you will be able to log back into it. |

Have had periodic problems with YM. Recently installed the latest version. So far it seems more stable.

I like this other one, called pigdin or something..you can bring all your messengers under one account so you don't have to start more than one , but i just don't like it's control thing..

It could have been a connectivity issue or server load issue, both out of your control. Happens with all messenger applications at some point.

Try using a multi-IM client program, like Pidgin. Not only will it handle Yahoo Messenger, but also gtalk, MSN Messenger, and a number of others. I've had nothing but problems when trying to use Yahoo's Messenger IM client program- it just keeps wanting to bomb to the desktop and stuff. Pidgin, on the other hand, is pretty stable. |
