Love At First Sight

I just became a believer in love at first sight
I didn’t think it was possible but I see I was wrong
I looked up and there you were the impossible but true

My mind can’t seem to grasp the concept
But it seems my heart has its own agenda
And it wants to follow the pathway to love

This is unfamiliar territory I’ve never been here before
I’ve also never felt so much so soon for someone
This is way beyond the scope of my understanding

Perhaps I should take a step back look at things more carefully
Think this thing through a just a little bit more
Re-exam what I think love is and where it starts

How can I think I love someone I just saw
A man who made the room’s dimensions seem smaller
And made all the other people in the room disappear

After all who am I to say I love a person I just looked at
Just because my heart skipped a beat or two
And I stopped breathing for a few moments

I mean he is just a man across a crowded room
Who caught my eye with no effort at all
Whose eyes I looked into and saw his into soul

Have I totally lost my mind falling for a complete stranger
Who my heart is telling me this is whom I’ve have waited for
The one that owns the parts of me no ones dared to lay claim to

What can I be thinking, love at first sight
This beautiful stranger who is somehow familiar
Whose face is etched in my memory but until now I’d forgotten

Or maybe this time I should stop thinking so much
Just let my heart lead the way and let fear step aside
And take the chance that I really do believe in love at first sight

i believe in love at first sight! don't allow anyone to tell you different!to where you have to settle, and never know the one you were meant to be with!

1 yr of dating....

1 yr of marriage...

the true personallity came out....full swing..full view...

Me, up against a wall....to take care of billls and keep a roof over 3 teen boys...2 of which were mine...1 his..

Everything I worked for, for many yrs, raising my sons alone, private schools , activities, and with the flex schedule to always be there for the boys.....

All went into Bankruptcy......$55,000 credit, 1 of 2 vehicals put thru....total....$88,0000. He turned out to be a con....

The State of PA is looking for him....and they are not happy....

so becareful....

my dad always asked me when I was dating...."how long do you know this person"? I would say 6 months, a yr, and dad he is so nice...

My dad would respond that everyone is nice.....but with the time frame ...YOU DON"T KNOW THIS PERSON, IT TAKES "TIME" TO GET TO TRUELY GET TO KNOW SOME ONE.

He was so right.

Another reelationship I was in.Blind date.Lasted 6 yrs.I knew him.I thought.But as time went on......another messed up situation.At least he came back to me and appologized and took all the blame for his behavior.

Be careful....But I do believe reguardless of horror stories..there is true love out there...

On this site I have been talking by phone with someone now for almost if not2 yrs....We are true friends...and we have never met...I have chosen to interact for a longggggggggggggg time before ever going into any territory of meet or possible dating....

although at this time in my life....I just want my son out of Iraq....no time or heart to be given, that is important of a relationship...so I go for ever lasting friendship and he and I have proven that to each other...

Life is sweet in this area...

@zanne---I pray your son comes home to you also, I am always careful believe me, I believe in love at first sight but let's not be stupid about it...LOL
