I am feeling sad today, missing my niece so much! She was killed almost 2 years ago :( she was everything to me and had plans on being a doctor. She was already accepted at Baylor University of Medicine. I wonder where she is today!

So hard to lose anyone we love, and probably more so when they're so young. I'm sorry for your loss and your sadness, but I'll bet she's somewhere keeping an eye on you, and wishing you weren't so sad. My prayers to you.

I know how ya feel..next month will be 2 years of my grandma passing. Feel bad for my brother too, we buried her on his birthday.

Keep your spirits up, someday you'll see her again!

Thanks for you kind words I do so appreciate them, is times like this when I wish I had more friends. All of my friends hurt the same as I do so I can't really talk to them about it or I risk making them have the same pain again and relive what happened!

a friend of mine her step brother died (20yrs ago) and they had the funeral on my birthday.. i went to the funeral for i felt it was right

My sister was murdered 13 yrs ago right after my birthday. The last time I talked to her she called and sang happy birthday to me - wanted to be the first one to wish me a happy birthday. Her tragic death effected us all deeply.

I truly understand not wanting to hurt those you are close too, but, chances are, they are feeling the pain, as well and don't want burden those around them, either. Pain is not meant to be suffered alone - it will eat you up inside. I know, I tried.
