i don't know if there are any good clubs where anyone else lives, but i love my city just for its clubs. we get some "A" class celebs at least twice a month and it's awesome.

tomorrow i'm going out to see 2007 playmate of the year sara underwood, and i'm super excited!


Any good clubs where you live?

There ain't f*ck-all for clubs out here in L.A.- most of them are on the Sunset Strip, which can be a pain in the butt as there's NO parking and and just getting there is a complete joke.

And it gets worse the farther you go out of the city, too. The number of clubs dwindles down to practically zero and the ones that ARE open are nothing more than lame-ass karaoke joints, which are NOT the places I wanna spend my time drinkin' in.

So if you're looking to go to clubs and stuff, L.A. is NOT the place to be.

wow! i figured L.A. would have a ton of good clubs.

well, we have the self proclaimed "Largest Night Club in the US." it's only good during spring break and when celebs are in town. otherwise every guy in town trying to get laid is there and makes the whole places a giant sausage fest.

we also have two other clubs, neither of which I've been to yet, but will soon. and then we have about two or three strip clubs. It's good stuff.

The problem with L.A. is that everyone's got such a holier-than-thou ego out here. They think just because it's the center of the world as far as television and motion picture entertainment (which it hasn't for the better part of a decade or more), that they're too good for such venues as "clubs", unless they're of the uber-trendy type with the no-neck goons providing "face control".

Things get better if you go south to another city or county, like to Orange County or to San Diego, but L.A. is simply NOT the place to go for clubs.

The WORST thing about L.A. is the lack of music venues that DON'T suck. There's practically nothing in the way of TRUE music venues (most places are karaoke-only joints nowadays), and what venues DO play music do the rap/hip-hop thing. Heck- the House of Blues should be ashamed of calling itself the House of Blues, as it hardly has any blues acts there at all- it's all rap and hip-hop.

Contrast this with Chicago, New Orleans, St. Louis, Memphis, Nashville, or New York, which is just overflowing with clubs of every dimension. You can't walk more than fifteen feet without walking near a club or bar or some other venue.

In Phoenix, Arizona there is a club where there are men dressed as women and you have to check the "hardware"

Also, don't drink too much, some are really good about hiding "stuff" one of my buddies went home with one and called me all pissed cuz I didnt warn him

well, arizona's pretty far for me, so I probably won't be going too soon. but I would like to go on a road trip hitting up clubs around the country, that would be awesome.
