I did that with my ex fiance.
 He is a wildland firefighter in San Diego -- first strike team -- and has a very dangerous job. Every fire season my stomoch is in knots for him even though we have been broken up for 4 years. I find myself Googling his name in the news to make sure he is not injured or worse, etc. Last year his name came up in a search and my heart stopped. Luckily, it was only an appreication site that did a photo shoot of his fire station. I learned he got the promotion he always wanted and I enjoyed the pix very much. I called him to say hello, wished him well, and to remind him that he will always be on mind. He sent a text back saying 'thanks'. Considering he broke up with me via text -- this didn't surprise me. He is a jack ass but I still care for him. I'd never take him back but I care for him.

I got rid of my cell phone because my ex kept calling me and telling me what was on her mind. ( she had alot on her mind ). She called more after we were divorced than when we were married.
I don't even carry a beeper. |

Strong willed in...Out box you? No. Strong-willed as in knowing I'm very set in my ways, and they better not try and doing any changing to me. This is me, this is who I am. If I'm good enough to warrant getting to know in the first place, I'm good enough to be let alone with the way I am. Not too many women are willing to put up with that. But, don't you think every relationship requires some bending, compromise, by both parties in order to be successful? |
