yes they are... I see people begging, so desperate for a relationship and I wonder "why".. Once you're in one it's a pain in the ass and you end up trying to find a way to get rid of them... Then sometimes I think I'd like one, to have that something special.. Then I think there probably isn't anyone out there for me b/c I'm so damn picky and if there were by chance then they'd live too far away to even consider.. I don't want to second guess you're situation (princess) mostly because it's really none of my business...not giving advice without being asked if only one of my short comings...there are many more...I find that for me anyway....the need to control..I guess would be the most honest word to use....has been a barrier...I used it and justified it because I wanted to feel safe and I somehow thought I knew what was good for my partner as well to keep them safe and happy too... Everyone is different.......I think finding someone with similar values and interests is essential.... Just because you like certain things about someone...there's usualy alot of others things you don't... it's a deep subject!! Great points Single!!! |

Succinctly put, OC. In the end, it's all about our NOT wanting to be exposed to the toxicity that is often a part of relationships nowadays. Whoever said "Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" seriously had his head up his keester.

I have lots of relationships right now........ even with you..... but they are platonic..........and that's where it needs to start...everyone says "oh we need to be friends first"...but in reality....what happens is....we are attracted and that takes over because we like a couple things about them to justify just jumping in!!!!!! We never really take the time!!!!!! It's hard!!! Especially if you've been single for any length of time...
We are human....not only that but..society as a whole make us believe we are supposed to be married and lots of other silly rules!!! |

true OC... I can't say much about the hurt, I haven't had it in a long time.. but the one I had was enough to last it seems... Most of them end up that way. Some of us (myself included) just choose not to go through that crap anymore. Or at least until something comes along to buck the trend, that is. |

Single, most people are.. I'll bet everyone here is.. We all have what we're attracted to and if it's presented to us in friend form how do we fight it... Of course, I don't really have much experience there b/c I'm pretty dense in that area..

i think also why im single is all the hair, but i accept that fact. if a woman doesnt find me attractive, whatever, not my problem.
 i wouldnt submit myself to changing how i look, so needless to say if a woman got with me just to make me get a haircut and shave, well then i guess ill have another ex shortly.
