I just signed up for my summer race!

A 12 hour supported adventure race including hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, & ropes in mid July!!

I'm increasing my weekly training and plan to lose about 2% more body fat.

I bought my new Marin Quad mountain bike, and I'm ready to go!

I'm excited, and if I do well then I also want to get a teammate and compete in the Adventure Race in September. This race is a little tougher: 105 mile bike ride; 3 miles canoe stretch; 15 mile run. Racing with a teammate makes it easier to finish! winking

It's going to be a great summer!

Who else has big plans?

Wow Melody, I feel so feeble. I run 5 miles a day and thought I was in good shape. I've competed in a mini-tri in the military but nothing compared to that.

I used to run marathons about 10 years ago and blew out my knees, so I started adventure racing. It's a lot more forgiving on the body and I like the cross training!

I started all of this after I stopped competing in fitness pagents.

I'm very competitive and I just keep downsizing as my body gets more injuries.

I try to do at least 2 races a year. I am 'feeble' -- as you put it -- compared to my friends. They are hardcore! scared They do it to the point of not being fun anymore. I always want this to be fun and recreational.
