Now we have Geithner admitting he told Dodd to re write the bonus clause in the "stimulus" bill. Didn't they just say 2 days ago that no one in the administration knew anything about this until 2 weeks ago?

This is completely amazing. Either this is total and complete incompetence or a calculated move, to pay back their friends for generous campaign contributions.

Some thoughts.

"lets see if we can pay the money without no one noticing".

"oh geez... they found out.. Time for us to pretend we didn't know, and say we are angry".

"the people that voted for us are mesmerized by our speeches, and as long as we talk about greedy rich guys they won't care".
