I guess I missed the point of the movie, I have liked most of the comic book movies, but I am not familiar with this group of characters, I wasn't impressed, could do without dayglow blue pepe for 2 hours, and was generally bored.

I thought the movie was great and I never read the graphic novel. The movie had a great deal of imagination which was brought to life on screen in ways that were impossible just a few years ago. The effects were terrific. The plot was complex and had a great twist at the end. I could have done without the full frontal crap but I guess that was part of the graphic novel. Parts of it ran a little slow but I guess that was in keeping with the novel too.

The whole thing reminded me of David Lynch's Dune. Most people who had not read the novel just didn't "get it".
