Its nice to have friends like all of you!

I had the same feeling yesterday, it sucks! The only creatures that
"saw" me were my cats, which is odd because they normally ignore me and
hope I go away.

Somewhere on these forums I read the post of a member complaining that
he had not received email replies.

Some veteran posters explained that one must establish "a presence" to
become known here. I think that applies in the real world too.

In other words, if you don't like being invisible in the world, you have
to get out there, get involved, speak up, spend the time and do the work
to be seen and heard.

Nobody is going to come to your door and ask you to come out and play.

You have to get brave, even if it's hard.

P.S. Shy folks like me have a hard time tooting their own horn

one thing I have learned is when to be honest with myself vs. my ideas
of what I think should be...this is a hard one, but the world being
built upon crumbly ideals,and reality being the opposite, yes?

I am who I am...damage, scars, and nuts and all... offline..the same. I
refuse to put on the face of social accpetance any longer... so this
narrows my feild. it's a truth, and I have accepted it.
Stop me from dreams? hell no!
But does help put things in a better prospective. No expectations...

So many of us have had an experience that makes us very careful of who
we associate with, let alone into our circle of trust. The life
experience has caused that. We make a choice to what life style we use
from then on. You can choose to be in the shadows or step out into the
light. There are many with the same experiences & strength comes with
numbers. No man is an island, no man stands alone. Works for ladies
too. Take a chance & get involved, we will help you. Can't find you if
we can't see you.

You are never invisible and your voice will be heard if you choose to
speak up. Sometimes, I think, we feel that way because we retreat into
ourselves, hide and become silent. This phase will wear off and you will
come out the stronger for it.
