the question for those of us who feel the need to ridicule the guy rather than expend the extra bit of energy to figure out what the guy meant to say is as follows: is it vitally important that one has a picture in their profile to attract friendships?

An online friendship is based on your words which tell us who you are and how you think. An image is generally used to help determine physical attraction.

Well in the romantic form anyway, I'm not at a lack for good friends, and will always want more. (anyone who says they have to many friends weirds me out) Maybe we could be like scientists and answer that question together? If nothing else I bet there is a nobel peace prize in it somewhere.
